15th-17th August - 2008 Northamptonshire Weekend

An opportunity to visit the balloon festival.
The weekend will be informal the options giving your car a rest.
 
Friday: arrive meet in bar, with dinner in the hotel followed by an opportunity to see a balloon glow and possibly fireworks weather permitting.
 
Saturday: Choose to visit the balloon festival and/or 78 Derngate, a house designed by Rennie Mackintosh (www.78derngate.org.uk) with delightful tea room alongside and          Northampton Museum and Art gallery (www.northampton.gov.uk/museums) with unique shoe collection, all within walking distance of the hotel.
Black tie dinner in the evening at hotel. 
 
Sunday: short circular walk from the Nelson residence followed by lunch or relax and read the papers over coffee.

Rooms are £65 for a double and £55 for a single per night including breakfast. Dinner should be around £15pp each night. Please settle directly with the hotel. You will need to pay for entry to the balloon festival and/or 78 Derngate and Saturday lunch. The museum is free.
 
As the weekend is one of the busiest for the town’s hotels, rooms are only guaranteed until the end of February 2008
