We are delighted to invite you back to Buxton for the Eighth Opera Weekend, starting Friday evening with an informal Dinner at the Old Hall Hotel, or an early visit to one of the Festival Operas – information on request.
Saturday will include a walk in the Peak District, including a Pub Lunch, followed by a visit to the traditional Buxton Carnival. An alternative programme may be arranged for those who prefer not to walk.
SAMSON (composer – Handel) will be a Buxton Festival production based on the biblical tale of the great Israelite warrior, Samson. It will be preformed in English with an excellent cast.
Sunday will round off the weekend with a short walk, or the Festival Mass at St John’s Church, followed by a light lunch at 12 The Paddock.
The cost of the whole weekend, from dinner (with wine) on Friday to lunch on Sunday, including the Opera, is
