JCI British Senate - working to support JCI UKThe British Senate sponsors awards to encourage JCI UK members to get involved in their organisation. Individual Senators can assist with mentoring & training and use www.easyfundraising.org.uk to raise funds. Senate AwardThe British Senate Trophy for the Most Outstanding New Member is made to any full member, not a candidate member, of less than 2 years standing at 31 December of the awards year.
It recognises the most outstanding contribution within JCI UK by a new member towards the development of themselves, their Chamber or JCI UK.
The Trophy awarded by JCI UK and is presented with a cheque from the Senate for £250 towards the registration fee of an international conference. In 2006 a Certificate of Merit was awarded with £100.
The guidelines include that the award is made within the first 6 months of membership and used within 9 months, is made to a member who gets actively involved, who would likely take a chamber leadership role in the future and would benefit from the experience of an international event
Bursaries may be awarded throughout the year and will be spread equitably around the country. Recipients should be proposed by their Regional Group chair and decided on by National Board.

www.easyfundraising.org.uk offers access to over 300 of the UK’s biggest and best-known retailers - but with a difference. Simply use the links provided on their website when you shop online and up to 15% of your purchase price will be donated back to JCI UK, FREE of charge.
It doesn't cost you anything extra to shop and raise funds in this way and there are lots of popular retailers participating including; DELL, Amazon, HMV, Virgin, AOL, Dixons, Comet, PLAY.COM, Choices Direct, Esure, The AA, Direct Line, M&S, Churchill and The Carphone Warehouse amongst many others.
As well as raising funds you can also make personal savings. Many retailers give special offers and “not-available-in-store” discounts when you shop online – some of which are exclusive to easyfundraising members.
All you need to do is visit www.easyfundraising.org.uk and register selecting JCI UK as the organisation you wish to support (registration is FREE).

Over the last 2 years, we have been working towards commencing a Senate Mentoring Programme, whereby each President or National Board members who feels they need some support, can have a named contact to bounce ideas off and to seek guidance from.
